Sommet de l’Élevage: record attendance and strong results for Swissgenetics
With more than 138,000 visitors, the Sommet de l’Élevage set a new attendance record. Swissgenetics once again exhibited alongside its partner Semex France.
Kenan Kocer, Export Sales Manager
Exhibiting together allowed Swissgenetics to introduce the latest Swissgenetics bulls to French breeders and show how the two companies complement one another. Breeders showed considerable interest in our genetics. They also gave us the opportunity to answer breeders’ questions and discuss bulls suited to their breeding goals.
The show also offered an opportunity to meet breeders, discuss their plans and make new international contacts. We discussed possible collaborations with visitors from Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as the potential for our genetics in their markets.
Strong results in the show ring
The return of cattle and breed competitions brought the show-ring performances of Swissgenetics daughters back into the spotlight. In Holstein, a 🔗BAROLO daughter was named Honourable Mention Grand Champion, while an 🔗ALESIO daughter won the Red Holstein Grand Champion title.
In Brown Swiss, daughters of 🔗ADEE and 🔗BRANDO distinguished themselves by winning their respective classes. TOSCANE GP, a 🔗YULE daughter, claimed both the Junior Champion and Junior Best Udder titles.
These results demonstrate the quality of our bulls’ daughters and their strengths in conformation. They also provide an excellent showcase for our genetics among breeders.
With numerous opportunities to meet breeders and partners, exchange ideas and enjoy success in the show ring, this year’s Sommet de l’Élevage once again proved valuable for promoting our genetics and maintaining close relationships with our partners in France and abroad.
