The innovation revolutionising bovine fertility
At Swissgenetics, every dose of SpermVital semen is the result of a rigorous process combining precise genetic selection with cutting-edge technology.

Sire selection : excellence above all
It all begins with selecting the bulls. Only sires with outstanding fertility, assessed in part by a high non-return rate (no return to oestrus within 56 days of insemination), are chosen. The quality and motility of their semen are also carefully monitored. This strict selection ensures that only top-quality genetics are used in the production of SpermVital doses.
Dose production : advanced technology
Each week, around five bulls are used to produce SpermVital semen doses. The sperm cells are encapsulated in a special substance that allows for gradual release into the uterus after insemination. Each dose contains 25 million sperm cells, ensuring prolonged and active presence in the cow’s reproductive tract.
Quality control : Swiss-level precision
After production, the doses are cooled, frozen, and placed in quarantine for 30 days. A final quality control check is carried out before the doses are released to market. At present, Swissgenetics offers SpermVital doses from 22 different sires, giving breeders a broad range of options.
A solution tailored to the needs of international breeders
The SpermVital technology is especially beneficial for breeders dealing with subtle signs of oestrus or limited time availability. It offers greater flexibility in reproductive management, reduces the number of inseminations required, and improves conception rates.
