Great success for Expo Swissgenetics in Brunegg!

Many visitors streamed into the Vianco Arena to view progenies from the Brown Swiss and OB breeds and to attend the Swissgenetics Top Sale.

The large numbers of visitors who had travelled to Brunegg were able to view good Brown Swiss progeny groups with daughters from sires JJ P, CYRUS and CALANO. The Omar-daughters (OB) were also convincing. The cows were the focus of huge attention throughout the day.

Top Sale

The traditional Swissgenetics Top Sale auctioned 51 lots from the breeders’ best cow families along with animals from the Swissgenetics programme. Of equal interest was the fact that breeders could acquire animals from top families at affordable prices. Some animals even go abroad.

The following lots achieved the highest prices:

• Swissgen Balu BALDI (BS) from Vinzenz Gion Peder, CHF 21'000.–
• Londaly Ambrose JEZABEL (RH) from Ass. Gobet-Vallélian, CHF   9’500.–
• Mattenhof Lambda HANAMI from Mattenhof Holsteins, CHF   6'400.–
• Antonic ALINA (OB) from Fuchs Joël, CHF   6'100.–
