Early this year an exceptional bull joined the Holstein programme at Swissgenetics, namely B.O.A. CONTIGO (GORDON x AUGUSTUS x LUSTER).

CONTIGO is a versatile and high-yield bull, ideal for improving herd productivity and quality, in particular with his high values for milk yield and positive components which makes him a winner for farm profitability.

CONTIGO stands out thanks to a complete profile and top-quality conformation, with an index of 122 for feet and legs. Furthermore, with an index of 130 and an outstanding score of 141 for fore udder attachment, he is number 1 in Switzerland for udders.

His indices for functional traits are also remarkable, with high values for health, fertility and longevity.

His profile extends internationally with outstanding yields in the USA (+3,010 GTPI), in Switzerland (+1,560 ISET) and he is also one of the few bulls with 3,810 GLPI, +12 for udders and +11 for conformation in Canada.

He is also free from LAMBDA, CHIEF, ALLIGATOR and SIDEKICK blood and therefore represents a value-add in diversifying the genetic lines.

CONTIGO is also suitable for farms using milking robots and is a carrier of kappa-casein BB, an important trait for cheese yields.
